President Buhari: ''Ministers are just noisemakers like politicians''

President Muhammadu Buhari on France 24

President Muhammadu Buhari has downplayed the importance of ministers in the country by saying that they are noisemakers just like politicians.

Buhari said further that the real work of administration is done by technocrats and not the ministers.
The president made the comment on Wednesday, September 16, 2015, during an interview on French television station, France 24.
“No. It is what we know –and which we learnt from the western system. The civil service provides the continuity, the technocrat. And in any case, they are those that do most of the work,” Buhari said when he was asked if the lack of a cabinet was affecting his government.
