‘We are very sorry’ | Olamide and Don Jazzy bury the hatchet

After the fiasco of the Headies awards and the subsequent Twitter rant, Mavin boss Don Jazzy and YBNL General, Olamide have called off all manner of beef.

The pair, who exchanged words at the Headies over their artistes- Lil Kesh and Reekado Banks- posted on Instagram their apologies to fans and the organisers of the awards ceremony.

D’banj says he’d release Don Jazzy-featured single this ‘Friday’

We have an early morning dose of good news for fans of the defunct Mo’hits Records, or fans of Don Jazzy and D’banj.

It’s been over 3 years of no music collaboration between these two superstars but by popular demand, D’banj has promised to release a song with Don Jazzy on a music streaming platform.

I just cant wait for friday to come...

Tiwa Savage Hosts Album Listening Party In Lagos

All is set for the release of a new Tiwa Savage album and she has called out on all and sundry to join her at the exclusive album listening party today December 16 at Spice Route, Victoria Island, Lagos.

The Mavin star, who is currently signed to Sony/ ATV Music and Mavin Records, last released an album in July 2013. It was titled Once Upon A Time.

The new album is however titled Red and features guest appearances from WizKid, Tuface Idibia and more. Production on the project was from Don Jazzy and Baby Fresh of Mavin Records.

Everyone who came to Don Jazzy’s birthday party went home with at least $600 = N120,000 as birthday souvenirs!! And there were at least 30 guests present.

In a chat with our reporter, Reekado said if not for his brother who submitted his demo to Donjazzy when the super producer asked artistes to submit demos, he would have quit music.

“Like I said it was like a miracle. He sent out something on the internet and said people should send him their demo singles. Luckily for me brother did send mine. He sent it he didn’t even tell me because at the time we were not in good terms and he sent it for me. Luckily my song was the only one picked out of the 5000.”

When asked why he wanted to quit, he explained “2 years ago I wanted to quit so I didn’t think I would be this big. It was tiring I was in school but I just felt let me get my 100% back into music but few month later I meet miracle,” he said.

Speaking further, the graduate of University of Lagos added that: “I don’t know how it went but I think it’s was God’s grace and my hard work. So many people are hardworking and talented than I am but its God’s grace that just kept me going brought me here and will still take me higher.

“Everything wanted me to quit. It wasn’t even funny. It was like I was doing it for waste I don’t know how to explain it. It was so much frustration and hard time. I just thought it was right for me to face my studies and get a job later. It’s just God grace that made me to just forge ahead.”

On what to expect from him, the singer said he would release new song and a video before the year runs out.

“Video for my song sugar baby drop in about two three days as at now. Second week in December a new single drops by God grace it’s going to be a banger.”

Photos: Reekado Banks Insults Fan Who Criticized Him For Posting A Photo Of Another Fan That Tattooed His Name On Her Hand

Mavin’s golden boy, Reekado Banks recently posted a photo of a female fan that tattooed his (Reekado Banks‘) name on her hand and also praising her for doing that, this however was unacceptable to some of his fans in their own opinion and they did gave him a piece of their mind. See the photo of the tattooed hand below:

Reekado captioned: “She went as far as getting a tattoo of my name. God bless this #REEKADDICT. I realllllly appreciate this.”

Seems like one of the comments struck a wrong nerve in the “Sugar Baby” star’s body and he decided to reply that particular fan, with a ‘mild’ insult. See the screenshot below:

Don Jazzy - I’m Cherubim & Seraphim

 Mavin record boss Don Jazzy has grabbed an award from The Eternal Sacred Order of the Cherubim and Seraphim church.

This was gathered on the music boss’ Twitter handle where he tweeted his fans telling them that he’s still a proud member of the church.
