Friends fore-ever! Six years after Tiger Woods‘ sex scandal erupted, the golf champ revealed to Time in a rare new interview that he and his ex-wife, Elin Nordegren, are now “best friends” and their relationship is “fantastic.”
Woods, 39, who shares daughter Sam, 8, and son Charlie, 6, with Nordegren, 35, told the mag that there are things he would have done differently in retrospect. “It’s not how I would change 2009 and how it all came about. It would be having a more open, honest relationship with my ex-wife,” Woods said. “Having the relationship that I have now with her is fantastic. She’s one of my best friends. We’re able to pick up the phone, and we talk to each other all the time. We both know that the most important things in our lives are our kids. I wish I would have known that back then.”
