THE Dream Team may not have done well at the on going African Games in Brazzaville, but the team’s daredevil striker, Junior Ajayi is now a millionaire after being signed on by top Tunisian club CS Sfaxien.

Daily Sunsports gathered yesterday that Sfaxien got Ajayi, 19, to sign the dotted line for a fee of $1.2m (about N220m). The Nigerian teenager was expected to storm the Tunisian city of Sfax next week to begin his adventure with his new club.

CHOI!!! NWOKE IBE M. if only i could see the future i for no gree stop to the play orange for street by now i for dun dey play for Real Madrid. believe Ronaldo n Messi dey learn where i dey.

According to News24.com the deal was struck after close to one month of negotiations between 36 Lion, the Lagos based amateur league side who owned the player’s economic rights, and CS Sfaxien. Both parties finally agreed terms few hours before the close of the Tunisian transfer market on September 15.

Tunisian intermediary Mahmoud Ouaddeni had embarked on the 2,859 – mile journey from Tunis to Brazzaville last week with one thing in his mind: to convince Junior Ajayi to sign for the eight – time league champions, knowing that his stock will rise if Nigeria qualifies for the football event of next year’s Olympic Games.

‘’Junior Ajayi is already a player of CS Sfaxien, he has signed a three – year deal and will join the club after the Games. He will be in Tunisian next Wednesday,’’ a source privy to negotiations told news24.
